The urutau, or “mother-of-the-moon”, is a bird that carries a lot of superstition. Some people, out of ignorance, end up rejecting it for fear of bad omen or bad luck. Unfortunately, for this reason, many request their collection by the Environmental Police, which ends up depositing them in sorting centers. But the legends go far beyond mere luck.
