75 Year Old London Pastor Arrested For "Hate Speech" For Quoting Bible Verse Deemed Homophobic

A pastor, John Sherwood, was arrested in London over his statement on the Biblical definition of marriage. The pastor quoted Genesis 1:27 from the Bible which reads: So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." This was deemed as hate speech for being homophobic and he was subsequently arrested.

Sherwood stated "I wasn't making any homophobic comments, I was just defining marriage as a relationship between a man and a woman. I was only saying what the Bible says - I wasn't wanting to hurt anyone or cause offence"
