A pair of Progressive Conservative MPPs in Ontario criticized a Chinese-Canadian doctor for having a sign posted in his office that called COVID-19 the “Wuhan pneumonia.” The MPPS suggested that this sign, written in Chinese, at a Chinese doctor's office, in a Chinese community, was somehow racist and would drum-up anti-Asian hatred.
