Chinese Dishes

Chinese cuisine is an important part of Chinese culture, which includes cuisines originating from the diverse regions of China as well as from Overseas Chinese who have settled in other parts of the world.

Generally, outside China the "Chinese food" isn't authentic. It is much like international hamburger chain food: tailored for the local taste; quite bland and clichéed, and generally not packed with nutrition. But Chinese food in China isn't like this. Real Chinese food might seem very exotic to you when you see it.

China has a long tradition of food. A tradition that is very much alive and well today. In fact, I’ve never met a more food obsessed nation. Food is one of the main topics of both conversation and debate here in China. When people go home to their hometowns to visit family over Chinese New Year, the one gift they bring back to share with friends is always some sort of local food. Food is just THAT ingrained in Chinese culture.
But not all of them are worth trying....
