When people first set out on their journey in the new born again life, there is so much yearning with vigor and fire. Their new life in Christ is energized with learning how to pray and understand the word with sincere hearts of real love to the Lord. But somewhere along the way, they begin to slow down. They begin to lose interest in the secret place of the Most High. They forget God who bought them little by little until that burning flame slowly turns to a smoldering flax. Today Fred Tomlinson explains what happens to a neglected relationship with Christ. How what seems to be a gradual departure is actually a swift descent into a total collapse of one's own spiritual house. Nevertheless, he reveals a stunningly beautiful way back to Christ into His waiting embrace by those who "cast themselves into the sea," like Peter did. This is a very comforting message to those that have found themselves in a place of spiritual decay and deadness. The departure from Christ might feel like a long road you been traveling on, but the way back is short, instant and sure. "Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory."
