Designed to carry a pilot and four passengers up to 150 miles at speeds up to 200 miles per hour, we plan to deliver new ways of moving around congested cities and under-served rural communities, starting in 2024.

3 Alia eVTOL aircraft
Vermont-based Beta Technologies has completed the first phase of flight testing for its Alia eVTOL aircraft, which has been operating in airplane mode while the company explored its stall characteristics, upset recovery abilities, glide performance, and controllability across other key phases of flight. The testing culminated in a March 17, 2021 flight from Alia's testing location in Plattsburgh, New York, to the company's headquarters in Burlington, a significant milestone that signals the FAA's growing confidence in the ability of the experimental aircraft to operate safely.
