In this video, we’re going to talk about antiperspirant deodorants and breast cancer.

Most breast cancer develops in the upper quadrant of the breast, closest to the armpit.

Unfortunately, there are certain chemicals in deodorants that are toxic. These toxins can enter the body and accumulate in the lymph nodes. Aluminum and parabens are particularly toxic.

Shaving your armpits may increase the absorption of these toxic chemicals.

Aluminum and parabens can increase your estrogen level, which can throw off a healthy hormone balance and potentially increase the risk of breast cancer.

What are deodorants and antiperspirants? Deodorants are chemicals that make your sweat smell better, and antiperspirants are chemicals that block sweat.

Make sure you read the labels of the products you buy. You want to avoid most antiperspirants since they contain toxins. Non-toxic deodorants can help you avoid body odors without the potential health effects of antiperspirants.
