Scrap Wood Project: Dog Bed Build

Hey Everyone!

I was able to get more time in the shop than what I previously thought, so I was able to knock out another weekend build!

I purchased my dog Ozzy new bedding, then thought to myself. Wouldn't it be nice for him to have an actual bed. So I looked around my shop to see what I had on hand and voila! A dog bed was built!

This bed was built with:
2 maybe 3 1x3's (8ft)
1.5 cedar picket (6ft)
scrap piece of plywood from my Halloween cutouts

I purchased the dog bed from TJ Maxx for about $15 and with the cost of the wood, this build would have cost me a total of maybe $30. Which is not that bad! I had an idea in my head, but no real instructions. This was built as I went along and some changes were made when I tried to use 1x2s. All the 1x2s that I had were warped, so I was not able to use them. For the top rail of the dog bed, I trimmed down a 1x3 and used that. Which it turned out pretty cool.

This was a fun build and I you have any questions. I am here to answer them! Like I said, this build has no instructions and everything was built based on the dimensions of the bed. So please, don't hesitate to ask me anything and I hope you give this a try! Great for Dogs and Cat beds (as you will see in the video)

As always, thank you for being here, thank you for watching. Please Like, Share and Subscribe if you haven't already!
