20210424 Not Their Parent - The Daily Summation

Do you work somewhere in which you're likely to be in proximity with the children of others? Should you reasonably expect the parents to be with those young ones? If so, UNLESS THEY'RE NOT, you should NOT be trying to correct or somehow marshal those children.

If the child or children is or are doing something wrong, your discussion or confrontation (preferably discussion) should be with THE PARENT OR OTHER ADULT, NOT with the child or children in question.

Why? For the same reason you should have the same expectation where your kids are concerned, you are NOT THEIR PARENT.

I talk a little more about this on today's edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll post a link to it here.
