21 April 21 Swarm, Day 2 in New Home

This is just a quick bit of video I took of the hive entrance of a swarm I collected two days ago. I leave newly installed colonies alone for a few weeks and limit myself to observations of activity on "the porch". I like what I see here: foragers taking off at a 45º angle and landing with a "thud" on the platform - that's them leaving empty and returning full. The little twig and bits of debris indicate that "housekeeping" is underway and the colony is maintaining hygiene within the hive box, a good indication that they want the space they've been given.
