Radical Agenda In Schools - ACLJ Defends Students From “Woke” Indoctrination

The wave of progressive ideology is continuously being pushed on our children in public and private schools. This is something we have fought against since the 90s. In a recent case in which we assisted, a public school drama teacher in Florida decided she was not going to allow a student to reference Jesus in her monologue assignment that was addressing the hardship of the student’s medical condition.Show more

This middle schooler’s monologue ended with this conversation:

Question: “How can you be so happy with this condition?”

Student’s answer: “I feel Jesus accepts me for who I am and that’s what keeps me going every day.”

The teacher made this student rewrite the assignment to exclude any reference to religion. Thankfully, the parent of this child went to the ACLJ for guidance, and we gave her the resources she needed to stand up for her child’s rights. The school agreed that the teacher’s “personal guidelines” were in clear violation of the school board’s policy.

The extreme progressive wave infiltrating our school systems doesn’t stop there. For years, we’ve told you how Planned Parenthood is targeting children to normalize abortion and recruit future “customers” to feed its unholy empire. In New York last year, Planned Parenthood was invited to give a presentation to a high school health class. The school sent out permission slips to parents to allow their kids to attend the presentation without listing the full range of topics that were going to be discussed, aka abortion. One parent wanted to review the presentation beforehand but was denied.

After she reached out for assistance from the ACLJ, we equipped her with a legal memo written by us and the knowledge that the school was violating federal law. The parent was then granted access to the materials in the presentation and the health director agreed to include abortion as a topic on the permission slip in the future. The ACLJ is equipped to fight these kinds of issues. We have been protecting students for a long time and will continue to fight against politicizing the school system.

There are tremendous challenges we face with President Biden and the radical Left in charge. Not only are our religious freedom and freedom of speech rights at risk, but our foreign policy and national security are also being compromised. Over the past four years, we saw an Administration that put America first. Under the Biden Administration, we are bowing down to Iran once again. President Biden wants to reenter the flawed Iran nuclear deal, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which we have told you about.

As State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said:

"The United States and Iran, we have, together, a stated, common objective of returning to mutual compliance with the JCPOA. We have been engaged constructively in a diplomatic process to achieve that goal."

There is nothing about this deal that is mutual.

Former Senator Joe Lieberman summed it up best:

"I’m worried that we are once again going to be too eager to reach an agreement and we’re going to have a bad agreement that will compromise our security and the security of our allies in the region, including Israel and most of the Arab world."

Yet, the Biden Administration is intent on rejoining this deal. This makes no logical sense. Iran is reporting that it has begun enriching uranium at 60%, which is barely short of 90% enrichment – that makes it a weapon. Essentially, the JCPOA allows the world’s most dangerous country to eventually acquire the world’s most dangerous weapon. This is exactly why the critical work of the ACLJ is needed now more than ever. We will continue to stand up for students’ rights in the education system and expose the truth behind why the Biden Administration is so set to reenter this disastrous deal.
