A DIFFERENT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DOGS AND CATS###

the likelihood of a dog being friendly or aggressive toward the cat he shared the house with was the same from both perspectives. This contrasts with the popular belief that cats do not like dogs, or that they, on the other hand, will either make friends with cats or run or kill them. While observing their behavior, it was found that most interactions were represented by play, followed by sharing the same room and resting together. Cats behaved much more playfully than dogs, but they were also more fearless and aggressive than they were. The order in which they were brought into the house and the age at which the dogs and cats were adopted were important factors in the relationship between them. If the cat was adopted first, the dogs were friendlier to it, unlike when they were the first to come into the house. However, for cats the order of adoption did not affect their relationship with dogs.
