Planned Parenthood Admits: "Abortion Kills The Life Of A Baby"

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:

In both 1952 and 1964 (please note that 1964 is the same year as The Fugitive episode above), Planned Parenthood's Pamphlet published a pamphlet promoting "Birth Control." In the question and answer section of the pamphlet, they posed a question about "birth control" and abortion. Here's the question and how Planned Parenthood answered it:

QUESTION: "Is it (i.e., "Birth Control") an abortion?"

ANSWER: "Definitely not. An abortion kills the life of a baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your life and health. It may make you sterile so that when you want a child you cannot have it. Birth control merely postpones the beginning of life."

GOING DEEPER:

If Planned Parenthood believed that abortion kills a baby in 1952 and again in 1964, why did they become the largest abortion chain in America? In both their 1952 and 1964 pamphlets, Planned Parenthood was right about one very important point — abortion does kill babies. So what's changed since Planned Parenthood made that statement in 1952 and in 1964? Back then, Planned Parenthood was promoting "birth control." However, shortly thereafter, Planned Parenthood began encouraging and selling abortion — and since then, Planned Parenthood has been the #1 promoter and provider of abortion in the country.

SCRIPTURE:

In Exodus Chapter One, the Egyptian Pharaoh gave the clear command to two Hebrew midwives that they were to kill all male Jewish babies. This is a late-term abortion today. Top

"15 Then the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, one of whom was named Shiphrah and the other Puah, 16 "When you serve as midwife to the Hebrew women and see them on the birth stool, if it is a son, you shall kill him, but if it is a daughter, she shall live." 17 But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but let the male children live. 18 So the king of Egypt called the midwives and said to them, "Why have you done this, and let the male children live?" 19 The midwives said to Pharaoh, "Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife comes to them." 20 So God dealt well with the midwives. And the people multiplied and grew very strong. 21 And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families. 22 Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, "Every son that is born to the Hebrews you shall cast into the Nile, but you shall let every daughter live."

An obedient citizen would have carried out the government's order, yet the Bible says the midwives disobeyed Pharaoh and "feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded them, but let the boys live" (Exodus 1:17). The Bible goes on to say the midwives lied to Pharaoh about why they were letting the children live; yet even though they lied and disobeyed their government, "God was good to the midwives, and the people multiplied, and became very mighty. Because the midwives feared God, He established households for them" (Exodus 1:20-21).

Jeremiah 1:5 tells us that God knows us before He forms us in the womb. Psalm 139:13-16 speaks of God's active role in our creation and formation in the womb. Exodus 21:22-25 prescribes the same penalty death for someone who causes the death of a baby in the womb as for someone who commits murder. This clearly indicates that God considers a baby in the womb to be as human as a full-grown adult. For the Christian, abortion is not a matter of a woman's right to choose. It is a matter of the life or death of an innocent human being made in God's image (Genesis 1:26,27; 9:6).

In light of all of this, I want to ask you the same question the five men from the tribe of Dan asked their brothers (Judges 18:8): "What say ye?"
