Whether it's business, marketing, product development, attracting the audience you seek to serve, idea validation...or even things outside of the world of online business...NEVER lose your beginner's mindset.

Focus on the basics. The master is someone who has an incredible depth of skill, knowledge, and understanding of the fundamentals. The problem is that we often get bored.

Once we learn something, we're ready to move on to more advanced strategies or topics. But often, we haven't spend enough time mastering the basics first.

Oftentimes, I'll go over basic concepts again and again to really ensure that I've got it. I look closer. I review things. I do it again and again. I dig deeper.

In fact, I'd even say an argument could be made that there's no such thing as "advanced" anything...there's just a deeper understanding of core concepts.

Very often, it isn't a matter of learning anything new (some new strategy or tactic) but instead refining, refining, refining the fundamentals.

And very often, advanced strategies are just a big distraction. It's like, we go, "oh yeah, I know all about that. I'm ready to move on." But do we really, truly understand it on a deep level?
