how to build a business you love

Hey let me ask you directly: What are you in business for? If you say, "to make money" or "to get rich" truthfully...I think you'll find you're gonna struggle.

With these sorts of things set as your primary objective, you'll chase money endlessly...you'll follow trends, go after whatever's hot in the moment...it's like trying to chase the horizon...you'll never get there...and even if you miraculously do catch it...you'll be left feeling unfulfilled.

There's no need to be miserable while working and building your business or doing work you despise. In fact, if you're miserable in whatever it is you're building...then you'll be MUCH more likely to give up and quit at the first bump in the road

And no doubt there'll be PLENTY of bumps in the road ahead.

Instead, if you really enjoyed -- not totally loved, but just really enjoyed -- the work you do and what you're building...then when challenges and bumps come along, you'll be much more willing to work through them. Why?

Because if you truly enjoy what you do...if it's genuinely fulfilling work...then you'll find a wat to overcome the challenges, obstacles, and bumps in the road that will inevitably come up...

...because you want to continue doing this fulfilling work MORE than the temporary pain and discomfort of overcoming obstacles and challenges that stand in your way.

If you're just in it for the money...and you actually despise the work you do, then consciously or unconsciously you'll be looking for a way out...a way to get away from the discomfort and pain of work you despise...

...and a way to get away from painful and uncomfortable obstacles. We've all been there -- in a bad place that we really aren't suited for.

Rather than staying somewhere where we don't belong, isn't it much better to quit the things we don't really want or don't like so that we can free ourselves up to do the things we DO want?

There's just one caveat: Don't quit what you don't want until you know the thing you DO want, and you can quickly jump over to it.
