Two planes collided at Compton/Woodley Airport. The crash happened Wednesday evening as the sun was setting. A Cessna 152 had just landed and was clearing the runway when a T-28 vintage warbird crashed into the Cessna.

The sun at the time would have made it difficult for the T-28 pilot to see the 152 but they should have been communicating.

The student pilot in the Cessna died at the scene, the instructor in the 152 was taken to the hospital.
