El cerebro humano moderno se originó en África hace más de 1,5 millones de años
Un nuevo estudio ha confirmado que las estructuras cerebrales humanas modernas surgieron hace alrededor de 1,5 a 1,7 millones de años en las poblaciones africanas del género Homo. El desarrollo del cerebro humano se habría concretado junto a la evolución cultural, permitiendo la aparición de formas primarias del lenguaje.

Un equipo de investigadores de la Universidad de Zúrich ha logrado confirmar que el cerebro humano moderno surgió hace aproximadamente 1,5 a 1,7 millones de años en África, en las poblaciones del género #Homo que habitaban el actual continente negro. La evolución cultural y de las estructuras cerebrales se habría dado en un mismo período, haciendo posible el desarrollo de las primeras formas del lenguaje humano.
