Cleaning Up Blue Marsh Lake 2019

72 volunteers from the Berks Bassmasters, Berks Federated Sportsman Club, Berks Izaak Walton League, Berks Master Watershed Stewards, Tulpehocken Watershed Association, PSU Berks Dance Team, and Cub Scout Pack 413 Den 5 worked together to clean up trash and debris throughout the shoreline of the 1148 acre lake known as Blue Marsh Lake on March 16, 2019 hauling in a mountain of 106 trash bags of bottles, cans, styrofoam, shopping bags, and other items such as 22 tires, a vehicle axle and various other items such as pipes, chairs, trash cans, and house siding were removed from the lake. Overall 2 tons of debris were cleaned up to make Blue Marsh Lake Look beautiful again.
