U.S. Marines with Marine Rotational Force - Darwin load baggage onto a truck and embark on a plane at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 11, 2021. The first group of Marines departed for the 21.2 MRF-D advanced echelon, preparing for the 10th anniversary of the rotational deployment. In compliance with Northern Territory Health Authorities, Marines received a documented negative COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to deployment, a medical screening prior to travel, another test upon arrival, and a final test with a negative result to exit a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
