Ex-mormon Exposes Latter-Day Saint Apologetic by Using the Church’s Own Scriptures and Doctrine

During this most intriguing December 31st 2020 interview between John Dehlin and Jim Bennett regarding Jim’s response to the CES Letter his continual apologetic appeal to the fallibly of the prophets and apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints needs to be scrutinized according to the doctrinal standard of which the Church currently holds regarding this issue.

Does Jim Bennett’s apologetic stance contradict current Church doctrines of what the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles declare themselves to be as prophets, seers, revelators and the unique apostolic mantle they declare they hold, most especially the mantle the Prophet whom they teach is the literal mouthpiece of the Lord and one chosen to speak for the Lord on earth? Is it church doctrine that these men are “just men” like everyone else?
