There is one thing that is for certain. Once you have seen something you cannot unsee it. You can hear something, but when it is combined with actually seeing it, you now become an eyewitness for the rest of your life. It is the same thing with Jesus Christ. The body of Christ is at an epic height of all knowledge and comprehension of the Bible. Many believers have the search engines at their finger tips to read what scriptures mean from every kind of theologian. They have shelves full of expository books, and analytical concordances. Yet, they have never seen the Lord by the Spirit of Revelation.

There is a big mistake in confusing intellectual ascent with seeing the Lord. This is a microwave spiritual society that wants the keys to the Kingdom, but have no sight of the Owner of it. They want everything given to them, they want all that God can give to them. Even in the sincerity of their hearts, they can go years, even decades never seeing the Lord. Oh sure they might get little Holy Spirit "peeks over the fence," of insight of Him in many ways, like different facets of a gemstone. But never have their eyes open by the Holy Spirit to see Jesus. I do not mean that in terms of materializing. But by and in the Spirit.

There is a verse in 2 Timothy 3:7, "“Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” I believe that many are never able because the "ever learning," is a blind groping around experience. Blind people can feel their way around, and know where they are, but if possible they are given sight, they then enter into a new and different world. It is the same thing with believers. They exist in a never ending march of gaining knowledge, but if they begin to start asking the Lord to give them sight, He will reveal themselves to Him. It is His will to open up their eyes, and He will do it. Then they will see Him, and see another world. A world that they will never leave to return to the darkness of the world they groped about in before.

Jesus commission was, and is very clear. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, And to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Ask the Lord Himself to give you sight, an eyesight that sees HIM, and the way of life you lived before, you will never return to again. You will go forth in power and never look back. Remember your eyes can take in a whole lot more than ears can hear. Amen. Three of the greatest words Jesus spoke were, "Come and see!"
