Task Racing Baja Extreme

Here’s an example of the Baja Designs XL Pro headlight and the Task Racing Baja Extreme helmet lights. Both appear much brighter than they show here. The spot from the headlight isn’t as pronounced either. This is due to the go pros limited dynamic range.

On twisty trails, I run the headlight on dim rather than bright. Doing it that way, the lights are better optically matched and your eyes won’t focus on the brighter spot.

If I were on longer straight sections, I’d opt to turn on the XL Pros bright to focus further ahead.

The Task lights allow me to navigate most of these trails at daytime speeds and because at night an approaching vehicles lights can be seen before you see the vehicle, I can safely ride faster around blind turns or while cresting a hill top.

To me, the Task lights not only make night riding better, night is now my preferred time to ride on familiar trails.

Day is still king for exploring new trails and taking in the scenery.
