Arctic Images - 2

My second slideshow of pictures taken in Canada's Arctic Islands during the 1970's and 1980's. I was working for Panarctic Oils Ltd., a company formed to handle oil & gas exploration in the Arctic.
Our base camp was at Rea Point on Melville Island (75.21.6N, 105.43.3W), and all our drilling sites were further north.
90% of our operations took place in the Winter with 3 months of total darkness and temperatures as low as -60 degrees.
