One can definitely boost the immune system. Plants like garlic, star anise, onions, turmeric, all barks like cinnamon etc have a turn-key immune systems that you just can eat and it will kill bacteria, viruses and fungi, while not killing the good ones and even help your immune system to calm down if needed.
