Building Owners often use roof moisture surveys as a way to make better decisions. Good stuff!

We find our clients want do this because they are worried they may not meet their corporate #recycling or #sustainability goals, concerned that a complete roof tear off will break their budget, or frustrated that the old roof will needlessly go to the landfill.

Twice in the last year I’ve had clients unknowingly select the wrong type of roof moisture survey.

Last year a client who thought that they’d done their due diligence to salvage roof insulation and to mitigate mold concerns, but found out too late they used the wrong scan technology and the information they received was inaccurate. That was a function of the wrong technology being employed and as a result over 300 dumpsters of insulation were needlessly sent to the landfill.

Beware the survey provider who only has one tool in their tool box.
