A terrifying video clip documents the moment the cargo ship "Amslift Hendrika" was exposed to sinking in the North Sea, which prompted the Dutch crew to jump into the sea.

The ship was heading from Bremerhaven in Germany to Culverde in Norway. But it was exposed to stormy weather and struggled to fight the waves and high winds, which prompted its crew to send a distress call.

The Norwegian Coast Guard rescued all 12 people on board the ship after sending helicopters to take them.

The ship is still stuck 80 miles offshore in the North Sea and is in danger of sinking.

The Norwegian Coast Administration and the shipping company are reportedly working on a plan to rescue the ship, which has a number of boats and yachts on board.
