Today Fred Tomlinson takes us through what starts out as a thumbnail sketch of the Children of Israel on the brink of entering the promised land. He starts with the twelve men chosen to go and spy out the land to bring back a report, among whom were Joshua and Caleb. Instead of one report there were two. Ten of the men brought back a bad report of distress, fear and hopelessness. They declared emphatically that they "were not able." It caused all the people to become upset. While Joshua and Caleb strongly stated another report saying, "We are well able."

The story culminates into decades of warring, fighting and taking the land. Until a day of appointment came for Caleb in his old age. Fred brings to glowing light, the beautiful heart of Caleb. Adding deeper-than-the-surface, thoughts that make us to see something deeper. That Caleb knew he had a destiny from when he stood on the shores of the brook Eschol long before. Thirty eight years later, it came into Caleb's heart that it was time to take part in a portion of that promised land.

He powerfully stated to Joshua that he wholly followed the Lord His God, and remembered the words spoken to them by Moses. He asked for the mountain that his heart desired, and it was granted unto him. Perhaps this word will cause you to see that though the way has been long, and you have been tempted to fall down. Though your environment may war against you, and opposition is fierce, as long as your heart has kept His word of promise, the mountain will be yours after all. You have a destiny in your journey and a purpose in God. I was immensely blessed personally by this message still resonating in my heart. It will resonate in yours as well, I am certain of it. Shalom.
