The death toll rose to at least 128 after flash floods and landslides caused by cyclone Seroja hit Indonesia and East Timor on April 4, 2021. As evacuation efforts continued and with dozens still reported missing, Indonesian president Joko Widodo expressed his deep condolences for victims of the disaster.
