Alex discusses two recent examples of Amazon unfairly treating sellers on the Amazon Marketplace platform. First, a story from Bloomberg of a seller who found his funds and inventory seized by Amazon after they accused him of selling counterfeit products. With no recourse after Amazon cut off communication, the seller spent $200,000 in legal fees fighting against Amazon in private arbitration. Also covered, camera equipment company Peak Design's fight with Amazon after they copied a bag design from the company and re-released it under the in-house AmazonBasics brand.
