Chickens (Gallus gallus domesticus) are birds that are usually kept by people to be used for the living needs of their keepers. Domestic chickens (hereinafter simply "chickens") are direct descendants of one of the subspecies of partridge known as red jungle fowl (Gallus gallus) or bangkiwa fowl (bankiva fowl). All chickens were theropods like tyrannosaurs.
