Why must we rake book-dumb answers to questions when simple easy practical answers exist?

Who is pushing us into that mindset that everything must be mathematical? Did we do this of our own happy free will or like the eldest child are we trying to fulfill someone else’s agenda?

I have nothing against all this theoretical study, I happen to enjoy some of it myself, but why must we do it. Why don’t we say “do we have to?“ why as a human race can’t we just be kids who don’t want to do homework I just want to play ball instead? Why do we act like Ebeneezer Scrooge stuck inside is boarding school when everyone else is gone home for Christmas? Who is forcing us to be that kid locked inside the library whatever else is out playing? What’s the deal, it doesn’t strike me as a human, so maybe we need someone to set us free so we can go back to being ourselves.
