Modern Day Underground Railroad | Maryland Promotion

Maryland Promotion: Our modern day version of the "Underground Railroad" employs a strategy that hasn't been used since the mid 1800's when Harriet Tubman ( a devout Christian ) conducted the underground railroad and rescued about seventy (70) slaves ( family and friends ) in approximately thirteen (13) trips to Maryland during a twenty (20) year period. Harriet rescued slaves she could trust because it was too dangerous for her to travel from the south to the north with anyone not fully committed to going "all the way". In other words, a slave could not go with Harriet, unless he or she wanted to free.
