Post Lockdown Pike on Swim Baits & Jerk Baits | Lake Ontario

On May 16th 2020, the province of Ontario reopened launch ramps after a 2-month lockdown due to the pandemic. So, I launched my boat, ran 20 miles accross the lake, and targeted Spring Pike in a public park area and marina on Lake Ontario on the Canadian side. Spring 2020 has been one of the coldest, wettest and windiest Springs I have ever experienced during my 31 years in Canada. Fishing was OK, but no monsters, , primarily due to the unseasonably cold water temperatures. However, I pulled one lure out of my box today which I worked with a slow steady retrieve, and this magical little swim bait saved the day for me.
