While Child Protective Services calls dropped, abuse admissions at Oishei nearly tripled in 2020

On March 16, 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced schools across Western New York to close. Teachers, who are required by law to report any suspected child abuse to Child Protective Services, could no longer see their students.
