20210329 The Right to Peaceably Assemble - The Daily Summation

In the phrase, "the right to peaceably assemble," is found a VERY important word. That word is "PEACEABLY."

If you're shining blinding lights into the eyes of law enforcement officers, or stepping between them, and their sworn duty, like it or not, you are NOT acting peacefully.

I'm not trying to say there's never time for non-violent resistance, or even harsher measures, but ALL of the adherents to such activities understood a VERY IMPORTANT FACT.

They "got that," they were likely to suffer the consequences of their actions.

They generally also understood, that such actions were NOT what was being discussed, where peaceable assembly was being talked about.
