BC Ministerial Order 012 re: Mask Exemptions explained for Businesses
Beatrice Weir, local business person, Human Rights advocate and representative for WeAreAll Essential.com and HugsoverMasks.ca, provides factual training to a gathering at Polson Park, Vernon, BC prior to the Saturday Freedom Rally.
It is important that all businesses understand the legality of the Ministerial Order 012 and Page 4 concerning the Mask Exemption ruling by the BC Human Rights Commissioner.
All businesses, whether on private property or not, if they operating under municipal and provincial business licenses, are required to provide service to the public.
Those businesses do not have the right to enforce a mask mandate on anyone, deny service to anyone solely as a result of individuals choosing to not wear a mask claiming exemption - nor will those businesses have legal liability as a result of NOT enforcing a mandatory mask policy in BC.
Beatrice's message of mutual respect is worth noting.
