紅千層又名刷毛楨，瓶刷子樹、紅瓶刷、金寶樹等。
原生於澳洲，一般高度及樹冠闊度只有2米。
葉是長線形互生類別，前端尖銳，堅硬。
花是簇生著鮮紅，生成穗狀（擦狀）花序，
雄蕊於頂端突出，花期6-8月。
在香港中環遮打花園有頗多紅千層。

Melaleuca linearisis also known as red bottle brush.
Native to Australia, generally only 2M in height ＆ canopy width.
The leaf is a long linear alternate type, with a sharp tip and hard.
The flowers are clusters of bright red, forming spike-like (rub-like) inflorescences.
The stamens protrude from the top ＆ bloom from June to August.
They are commonly found in the Chater Garden in Central, Hong Kong.
