I Was Born With No Thighs | BORN DIFFERENT

A 20-YEAR-OLD from Texas was born with an incredibly rare condition that means he has no femurs. Ricardo Benitez has been able to adapt to everything in his life, despite his legs being considerably short. Growing up was difficult for Ricardo, as he wanted to be able to compete in sports like his friends. But then, there was a turning point in his life where he realised that he actually could do all the activities he wanted - just differently. He hasn't let his condition hold him back, having already completed an entire marathon. Ricardo told Truly: "The way I run isn't the way that everybody else runs, I'm not going to be the fastest guy in the workout but I'll definitely complete it and I'll do the best I can." Ricardo's next big achievement is to compete in the Iron Man competition. "I think that will be the toughest thing I've ever done in my life," Ricardo said. Having also recently started a TikTok account, Ricardo was surprised to see some of his videos go viral and is now looking forward to seeing his fan base increase.
