Hobart Freedom Day Rally, 2021-speaker discusses forced vaccination in aged care

Hi AVN Team,
I visited the XXXXXXXXX Hospital last Tuesday as the XXXXXX Premier had announced that it was ‘their turn to receive the jab’. The XXXXXXX Centre is a specialised institution for elderly people suffering from mental illness. It is a government run facility and it houses many homeless people and those with low income. I consider these residents to be some of the most vulnerable in our community.
I was fortunate to be able to speak to the doctor who would be administering the ‘v a c c i ne' that day. I raised the issue about valid consent. I asked if he would be informing the patients that they were part of the trial, letting them know that it was only provisional approval; I asked if he would be discussing the possible side effects as listed by the manufacturer; I asked that if the residents weren’t considered to have the legal capacity to understand, would their guardians be present. I also gave him the links to the TGA reporting section and informed him that it was his duty to report any adverse events following immunisation to the TGA.
His reposes were not consistent with following the guidelines from the Immunisation Handbook. I posed the question: "What will you do if there is a resident today who says they don’t want the shot?”
His reply was “ we are a health facility. We will not be entertaining any resistance.”
I recorded our interview. I believe this doctor has the intention of committing mal practice. I had two colleagues with me and they were a witness to the conversation. I am really concerned for the residents as next week they are due for their second shot. Is there anything that can be done to ensure they are given their legal right to have valid consent?
