SHOW NOTES

Don’t Care

I believe that there are a lot of lessons that we can learn by comparing the two shootings that have occurred in the last week
Last week, when a man savagely killed 8 people in Atlanta, GA
This week, when a young man killed 10 in a supermarket in boulder, CO, including a police officer
I will refer to these as Atlanta and Boulder
In light of the Boulder shooting, we have instantly heard an outcry for “common-sense” gun control.
President Biden said that he’s not willing to wait another minute, not even another second before attacking the second amendment rights of American citizens
Question: Why didn’t we hear those calls last week after the Atlanta shooting?
Why are we getting an entirely different narrative out of congressional democrats and their mouthpieces in the mainstream media?
Only Last week, the entire narrative was about white supremacy hate crimes against Asian-Americans
Nothing about gun control… Why the shift?
Another observation,
Last week, we had the name of the shooter almost immediately. Most of the first reports of the shooting included the name of the killer.
This week, there were almost 24 hours between the first report of a shooting and the time we got his name.
Question: what could possibly explain the different coverage?
Finally, thinking about motives
In Atlanta, it’s almost like they had crafted his motive instantly
Sex addict, and an Asian hater
The entire media and left-wing politicians race to assign a motive to that killer
In Boulder, it’s inexplicable! Who can possibly know what was in his mind?
They are careful not to throw any shade, cast any judgment upon the possible motives of the killer.
Question: Why is it so easy to assign motive in one case, while so difficult in the other?
The answer is more disturbing than it may seem
The left sees every story first and foremost through the prism of race
The biggest difference between these stories is that one was a white dude, and the other was not.
Glenn Beck’s astute observation of the Leftist’s handbook of assessing mass shootings
If the shooter isn’t white, and the victims aren’t white… They don’t care
If the shooter is white and the victims aren’t white… RACISM, White Supremacy!
If the shooter isn’t white and the victims are white… When will we finally do something to address the GUN problem in America?!?
The hatred against white people, patriarchy, traditional values, ultimately against God himself is so great that half of our country abandons reason to twist themselves into knots based solely on the identity of the person pulling the trigger
The thing you shouldn’t be worried about today is being involved in a mass shooting
You have far greater chance of being killed in a fist fight, than by a mass shooter
Tragic as they are, they are still a very rare event.
Please don’t let the fear of mass shooters affect your thought life or your personal decisions
Care

What should you care about today?
You should be on the watch for the fulfillment of President Obama’s radical fundamental transformation of America. It is happening right now, more quickly than anyone can fathom
Leftists are taking advantage of the the perceived crises to altar this nation towards socialism
Using the excuse of the coronavirus pandemic to blow out the debt, to get people addicted to government stimulus checks and devalue our currency
Using the excuse of the storming of the capitol and one out of two horrific shootings to keep you out of DC and to attack an entire race as hateful white supremacists
Using a different shooting to make a grab for your right to keep and bear arms and protect your family
Using the trans movement to continue eroding the institutions of marriage, family and gender
These are the things that are tearing us apart

In times like these, we need to find comfort beyond the latest headlines and remember that there is a God who is still in control. Our nation, as bad as it is right now, has seen worse times and still made it through. While the left mocks the idea of thoughts and prayers in a time like this, we will put all the hope and faith we have in the only God who is truly able to change a nation in disrepair.

Second Psalm provides a wonderful instruction to God’s people in the midst of societal chaos:

Psa 2:1-12 NLT - 1 Why are the nations so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans? 2 The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the LORD and against his anointed one. 3 "Let us break their chains," they cry, "and free ourselves from slavery to God." 4 But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them. 5 Then in anger he rebukes them, terrifying them with his fierce fury. 6 For the Lord declares, "I have placed my chosen king on the throne in Jerusalem, on my holy mountain." 7 The king proclaims the LORD's decree: "The LORD said to me, 'You are my son. Today I have become your Father. 8 Only ask, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the whole earth as your possession. 9 You will break them with an iron rod and smash them like clay pots.'" 10 Now then, you kings, act wisely! Be warned, you rulers of the earth! 11 Serve the LORD with reverent fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Submit to God's royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities--for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!
