In 2000, right after graduating high school, my buddy, Russ, was in a car accident that would change the trajectory of his entire life. He was not able to take any breaths on his own. He had a 0.1% chance of survival and there was even less of a chance that his brain would leave a vegetative state. With no chance of living, they pulled the plug, he started breathing, he refused to die. The Doctors have told him in his late 30's his organs would start shutting down, he is in his late 30's, so we are getting his story out. This is a peek into his life story. This series with Russ is called Brain Dead.
