Connor Wagner wins the season opener at Lanier. He led 86 of the 101-laps. Benjamin Harste secured pole and finished third, while last year's champion, Brian Szabelski, finished fifth.

Harste got out to the early lead, but a lap-three caution brought everyone back together. Adin All-Vecchione got into the left quarter panel of Odise Adams Jr. sending him sideways. Corey Logan had nowhere to go and got into the back of All-Vecchione completely turning him, eventually coming to a stop on the apron.

The race went green again on lap nine and Charles Crews got a great jump to take the lead from Harste, but the lead was short-lived. Wagner had been chasing down Crews and on lap-15 he had gotten his nose underneath at turn one. The two banged doors and Crews eventually lost it exiting turn two. Third-place Harste clipped the spinning Crews before he hit the outside wall. Seventh-place running Rob Haynes caught Crews as he rebounded off the wall and, to add insult to injury, Caleb Sellner came through the smoke to T-bone Crews sending him upside-down.

The race went back to green on lap-20 and would stay that way for the final 81-laps. Wagner cruised building an almost six-second gap, but he was unable to relax having to deal with lapped traffic around the 0.375-mile track. Rod Clinard battles from seventh on the grid to finish second.
