CH-47 (Chinook) U.S. Army Reserve helicopter pilots, with Company B of the 7-158th General Support Aviation Battalion, New Century, Kansas, train in night flight operations while wearing night vision goggles. Pilots must become accustomed to the unique challenges of flying during dark hours. In a combat theater of operations, much of the work is done at night.
