I thought it would be cool to make a time lapse of a Risk game. This time lapse is speed up 10x. The settings for the game are Fixed, Alliances On, 6 players, Classic Map, World Domination to win. My rank is Master. I'm aiming to get Grand Master.

I have done time lapses in other games that I've played including Hay Day and Battlelands. I thought of doing a time lapse for Risk in real life in Dec 2017 or Dec 2018, I didn't end up making it though, as I didn't have the camera to do it, plus on that camp I didn't end up playing Risk.

I love Risk, it's a fantastic game.

I thought that the final product of this video actually looked really cool. And it was so simple to make. I just put it into my editor (WonderShare Filmora X) and muted the audio of me talking, speed it up 10x, and added in some awesome TheFatRat music.

I thought of trying it at various speed ups such as 5x, 20x, 100x, etc, but 10x seemed to work pretty well as it's not too fast that you can't understand what's going on, but not too slow either. The stream was about 2h 22min 31sec. And sped up by 10x, it becomes about 14min. I downloaded the stream off Twitch as a 6.4GB file. It’s 1920x1080 60FPS. This is my first video I’ve uploaded in about a month, which was my Google Ads Feedback one.

This video consists of 2 games of Risk from when I streamed Risk this afternoon (23 March 2021).

It is potentially a quick way to learn or view strategies of players. You see 2 hours of gameplay in about 12min.

There are a couple of real life games of Risk time lapses on YT and 1 of a 4chan version of Risk. I couldn't find any time lapses of Risk from the game app Risk: Global Domination. I think it's a cool genre, and form of Risk videos. Maybe it will one day be popular. :)

Watching back my video with TheFatRat music in the background made me so happy. I haven’t edited a video (even those this was super basic editing, just speeding it up, muting it, adding music), in months. And to see my gameplay, my video becoming part of gaming history (even if almost no one watches it) is so awesome, so neat. I still have creativity in me. And even though I am no long popular and mass watched like with my Hay Day, Battlelands and Rush Wars streams and videos, I am still contributing in some way, with my only unique take. It’s so nostalgic and so lovely to hear the wonderful, beautiful songs that TheFatRat made and kindly allowed to be used along side my gameplay. So wonderful. Thank you to everyone in the stream, you are part of history too, your commentary is record and can be seen throughout the video! 😊.

It is really neat how TheFatRat is so influential, so well known. Just from his music I’ve come to know him, and listen to some of his video about life. He is part of history. It would be so neat for him to see his songs put in all sorts of videos all around the internet. So neat.
