United Nations Anthem (Instrumental Midi) Hymn to the United Nations

The UN was established after World War II with the aim of preventing future wars, succeeding the ineffective League of Nations. On 25 April 1945, 50 governments met in San Francisco for a conference and started drafting the UN Charter, which was adopted that year.

Hymn was written by Catalonian Pablo Casals. The words were written by poet W.H. Auden of the United Kingdom. Song was performed at the United Nations in 1971, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the United Nations.
