79

This fun and quick goldfish portrait is my first ever attempt to use salt to texture watercolor background. This is also an example of negative painting around a light subject.
For this painting I used 140 lb/300 g cold press watercolor paper, Daniel Smith watercolors: ultramarine blue, cobalt blue deep, phtalo blue, lemon yellow, new gamboge, opera rose
Holbein watercolors: scarlet lake
Stephen Quiller watercolors: permanent orange, magenta
M.Graham artist gouache - Titanium White
Round and flat brushes for water media
