Albert Pike Recreation Area | Arkansas State Parks | Ouachita National Forest
During our recent stay at Daisy State Park in Arkansas we ventured out to the nearby Albert Pike Recreational Area. This is a beautiful state park that has been closed ever since the tragedy of 2010 where the Little Missouri river flooded and 20 people camping at the park lost their lives in the ensuing deluge. Not surprisingly, there are no longer any campsites available at the park but the day use areas and trails have recently been reopened for exploration.
