牛頭角站在1979年10月1日啟用。
觀塘綫車站，架空車站，以淺綠色為主色。
月台是1個島式月台，有兩個出口A和B。
1號月台（往調景嶺），2號月台（往黃埔）。
車站大堂面積較小，而且沒有空間擴建。
大堂有幾間商店。

Ngau Tau Kok Station was opened on October 1, 1979.
Kwun Tong Line, overhead station, with light green as the main color.
The platform is an island platform with two exits A and B.
Platform 1 (towards Tiu Keng Ling), Platform 2 (to Whampoa).
Station concourse is small ＆ there is no room for expansion.
There are several shops in the lobby.
