Biden’s Permanent Child Tax Credit Policy Not Help Fight Poverty

The Biden administration says it wants to make the new child tax credit permanent. Under the latest virus spending bill many families will get free money to the tune of $3,000-$3,500 per year, per child.
Some estimate it could add $100 billion per year to the deficit. But according to poverty and family expert Robert Rector at the Heritage Foundation, it won't help in the battle against poverty.
