This is a b-roll package (2 of 2) from Day 5 of U.S. Army Small Arms Championships at Fort Benning, Georgia. This is Match 321, the coveted Rifle Excellence in Competition Match. Competitors fired 50 rounds in five stages. Stage One was done in the prone firing position at 400 yards. Competitors used a 10-round magazine to shoot their targets at a sustained firing rate within two minutes. Stage Two was done in the prone firing position at 300 yards. Competitors shot 10 rounds from two 5-round magazines at their targets at a rapid firing rate within 60 seconds. Stage Three was done in the kneeling firing position at 200 yards. Competitors shot 10 rounds from two 5-round magazines at a rapid firing rate within 50 seconds. Stage Four done from the 100-yard line. Competitors shot 5 rounds from the standing position then transitioned to the kneeling position, switched magazines and shot 5 more rounds at their targets. This was completed within 40 seconds. Stage Five was a Close Quarter Engagement stage. Competitors shot a total of 10 rounds from a single magazine. They had four seconds to fire as many rounds as desired at targets from the 75-yard line. They then had three seconds to do the same from the 50-yard line. Finally, they engaged targets at the 25-yard line. The goal was to put five rounds into each target at each yard line.
